My name is Tyler, and I integrate somatic and mindfulness techniques into my art therapy practice, including the option to work with EMDR. I prioritize authenticity and believe in creating a supportive and compassionate space for you to explore your experiences, emotions, relationships, and self-concept. I am attuned to research-based practices that assist with healing from trauma, depression, isolation, chronic pain, and anxiety. Supporting others to navigate life transitions (from adolescence and parenting to grief and menopause), as well as the high and low tides of neurodivergence are other areas of focus in my practice. Art therapy is a cornerstone of my therapeutic approach, and experience with artmaking is not required. Ripping paper, scribbling, and collage are examples of art invitations that may support emotional expression or foster growth. If you would like to explore any currents specific to you, including grief or climate distress, get in touch for a free consultation.
